Our Favorite Holiday Campaigns from 2016

Life is all about living in the moment.But let’s be honest, when you’re managing the marketing and promotions for a hotel, it’s really about living in the next quarter. And that means, now is the time to finalize your holiday email marketing strategy. Here are a few of our favorite campaigns from last year to help make your holiday season merry and oh so bright.

Holiday: Halloween
Purpose: Promote and sell tickets for on-property Halloween events.

Having inspired Stephen King’s The Shining, it’s no surprise that The Stanley Hotel in Colorado put out a killer Halloween email.

Holiday: Black Friday/Cyber Monday
Purpose: Reward subscribers with exclusive offer

The Villa Florence in San Francisco rewarded their email subscribers and past guests by giving them exclusive, early access to their Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale. They also encouraged longer length of stays by offering a “3rd Night Free” promotion.

Holiday: Christmas
Purpose: Promote Christmas Day culinary offering

The St. Pancras Hotel Group in London sent out this elegant email to all local guests to promote their Christmas Day menu and encourage reservation bookings.

Holiday: Christmas
Purpose: Reward direct bookers and drive direct bookings

Royal Garden Hotel in London emailed an “early Christmas present” to their direct bookers, giving them exclusive, early access to their big New Year Sale.

Holiday: Christmas
Purpose: Show gratitude for past guests

The Marker Hotel in Dublin sent out this lovely campaign to their past guests, thanking them for their support and wishing them a happy holiday season. This type of campaign is a wonderful way to build a genuine relationship with guests.

Holiday: New Year’s Eve
Purpose: Promote NYE offerings to incoming guests

The Glen Cove Mansion in New York emailed their incoming guests who would be staying with them over New Year’s Eve with an informative letter outlining all they could do to ring in the New Year.

Holiday: New Year’s Eve
Purpose: Sell NYE Package

21C Museum Hotel Louisville put together this saucy campaign to promote their New Year’s Eve party and package.
