Simon Drake appointed GM of Tamburlaine

Simon Drake has been appointed general manager of Cambridge luxury destination hotel, Tamburlaine. Following two and a half years in London operating Hilton Hotel’s luxury lifestyle benchmark, the Conrad, Simon has set his sights on “creating the best luxury team and offering Cambridge has ever seen”. Oliver Kahf appointed GM of Hard Rock Hotel London

Glh Hotels has announced that Oliver Kahf has been appointed as the general manager of the new Hard Rock Hotel London, ahead of its opening in early 2019. Kahf has lived and worked in 14 countries on four continents throughout his 33 years in hospitality. He began as a management trainee and spent his early career in food and beverage, before switching to sales and marketing, and took up his first general manager appointment in Hua Hin, Thailand, in 1994. The Seren Collection strengthens its management team

Hospitality group, the Seren Collection, has added to its management team with the appointment of new staff. Interstate Europe appoints new regional sales director

Third-party hotel management company, Interstate Europe Hotel & Resorts, has appointed a new regional sales director. Wendy Benson joins the Glasgow-based firm following a career in hospitality sales, including previous posts at De Vere Hotels, The Principle Hotel Company and InterContinental Hotels Group. Benson will be responsible for managing sales at properties in locations such as Edinburgh, London, Aberdeen, Durham and Stevenage. Two of QHotels’ key conference and events venues have welcomed new general managers. Chris Steadman has been promoted to general manager at Chesford Grange near Kenilworth in Warwickshire, while Joanne Hammick has been promoted to general manager at the Stratford Manor which is nearby.
