Albert Cottage Hotel serves Indian-inspired tea alongside movie release

The Albert Cottage Hotel has launched the Indian-inspired ‘Victoria and Abdul Afternoon Tea’ to celebrate the release of the ‘Victoria and Abdul’ film.

The biographical movie, starring Dame Judi Dench as Queen Victoria, is set for national release on 15 September.

The afternoon tea menu offers a selection of assorted sandwiches, traditional scones and authentic treats with a twist.

The menu includes:
Mini Samosa, Mini Onion Bhaji, Mini Tandoori Chicken Kebab
Finger Sandwiches filled with Smoked Salmon, Cheese with Onion Chutney, Cucumber
Fruit Scones with Homemade Jam
Victoria Sponge with Raspberry Jam, Vanilla Slices, Battenberg Cake, Lemon Drizzle Cake with Limoncello Drizzle
Choice of Traditional Teas such as Darjeeling, Assam or Earl Grey – with Milk or Slice of Lemon
A sparkling Champagne or Gin & Tonic option is also available

The ‘Victoria & Abdul Afternoon Tea’ also includes a voucher for each person which offers 20% off entry into Osborne House (subject to T&Cs) which was once the holiday home of Victoria.

‘Victoria & Abdul’ is the first film to ever use the interiors of Osborne as a location.

‘Victoria & Abdul Afternoon Tea’ at Albert Cottage Hotel is priced from £19.95 per person – with Traditional Afternoon Tea priced from £15.95 per person.
