UK hotels enjoy ‘encouraging’ growth from domestic ‘staycationers’

The latest data from the Expedia group has revealed UK hoteliers enjoyed ‘encouraging’ growth this summer helped by a significant rise in hotel demand from domestic travellers choosing to take a staycation. VisitEngland extols youth ‘staycations’

VisitEngland has launched a new campaign encouraging young people from Great Britain and Northern Ireland to take a holiday at home in a bid to boost the UK’s tourism industry. Statistics show that 16-to-34 year olds took almost 1.4 million fewer holidays at home last year compared with a decade ago.
