Travelodge to hire 875 additional Christmas staff

Travelodge, one of the UK’s largest independent hotel chains which operate over 550 hotels across the UK, Ireland and Spain is looking to fill 875 positions in the countdown to Christmas. The company is looking to fill 850 positions based in Travelodge hotels across the country for the following roles: Receptionist, Team Member, Guest Room Cleaner and Bar Café Team Member. Whitbread withdrawal from ethical workplace code ‘slap in the face’, says Unite

UK hospitality group Whitbread’s withdrawal from the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) just 18 months after it was granted foundation stage membership, is a “slap in the face” to its 50,000-strong UK workforce, trade union Unite has said. Whitbread to supply its own water

Whitbread, the UK’s largest hotel, restaurant and coffee shop operator, is to supply its own water and wastewater services, making it the first major hospitality company to be granted a self-supply licence by economic regulator Ofwat.
